Responsible for the overall management and administration of the practice. The practice manager welcomes both positive and negative comments from patients and will endeavour to resolve any complaints/concerns you may have as quickly as possible.
Oversees the general office, secretarial and reception staff and deputises for the practice manager in her absence.
Responsible for dealing with patient queries, giving out results, and home visit requests. We also have administrators who deal with insurance reports and patient forms.
The receptionists deal with making and cancelling appointments and the registration of new patients. It is sometimes necessary for the receptionist to ask detailed questions to enable the doctor to assess the urgency of the problem and in some cases information is required so they know which type of appointment to offer you. The central point of the practice is the reception area, where you will find our trained staff available to help you. They deal with hospital referrals and all hospital correspondence.
The dispensary is responsible for all requests for repeat medication. The practice must have 48 hours’ notice in order to process all repeat prescription requests.
