What is a Carer?

A carer is anyone who cares, unpaid, for a friend or family member who due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction cannot cope without their support.

Please let us know that you are a carer by completing our Register a Carer form.

Are You a Young Carer?

A young carer is someone aged 18 or under who helps look after a relative who has a condition, such as a disability, illness, mental health condition, or a drug or alcohol problem. Most young carers look after one of their parents or care for a brother or sister.

CHUMS / CAMHS Parent/Carer Education Sessions

CHUMS / CAMHS are due to provide some upcoming parent/carer education sessions. The sessions are available to parents and carers of children and young people who are registered with a Bedfordshire or Luton GP.You do NOT need to be open to CAMHS or CHUMS to access these.

The sessions are for parents/carers and siblings over the age of 18, children and young people themselves CANNOT attend.
