You can make appointments on the telephone or in person between 8.00am -12.30pm and 1.30-6.00pm. You can make urgent calls only between 6.00pm and 6.30pm. Patients are no longer registered with a specific doctor but with the practice. The practice cannot guarantee that you will be able to see the same GP each time you visit but we will do our best to accommodate your request.
You can also book an appointment online. You need to register to use our online appointment booking service and this is best done in person at the surgery. Please speak to one of our receptionists.
If you need to be seen the same day
To make an appointment on the day please telephone the surgery or call in as early as possible to 8.00am and the receptionist will make you an appointment.
If you need to re-book an apointment
Please telephone the surgery after 9.30am when the telephones lines are quieter and ask the receptionist to make you a pre-bookable appointment for later in the week or the following week.
Why can you only pre-book four weeks in advance?
The practice currently only allows patients to pre-book two weeks in advance because so many patients fail to attend for appointments. When a patient does not turn up the appointment it is wasted as we cannot fill them at short notice. Please telephone and cancel your appointment if you cannot make it.
Telephone consultations – what are these?
All doctors offer telephone consultation appointments that can be pre-booked with the receptionist. If you feel that your problem can be dealt with over the telephone, then please make use of this service. The doctor will need a landline telephone number to contact you. These appointments are available to pre-book on different days with different GPs, Tuesday – Friday 12 noon – 12.10pm.
Do you need an appointment to get another sick certificate or form completed?
NO YOU DO NOT!
If you need a repeat sick note then you may not have to be seen, so please telephone and speak to the office (option 2). If you need forms completing by a GP, telephone the office (option 2) and they will pass you to the staff that deal with them.
