Repeat prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions can be ordered by completing the right-hand section of your previous prescription form and either leaving it at the surgery or sending it to us by post.

You can also order repeat prescriptions online. You need to register to use our online repeat prescription ordering service and this is best done in person at the surgery. Please speak to one of our receptionists.

Your prescription will be ready for collection 48 hours later. If you prefer, we can post it back to you (you will need to provide a stamped, addressed envelope).

We will also accept repeat prescriptions by fax sent to (01767) 681600

Telephone requests are not accepted. Please note the fax is not attended by surgery staff between 6.00pm and 8.00am. Therefore we advise you to fax requests through during opening hours to maintain strict confidentiality.

We are keen to ensure that patients with ongoing medical problems are monitored regularly. If the date for your next review with a doctor or nurse has passed you will be asked to make an appointment.

If you run out of medicine by mistake, speak to the dispenser who will, in turn, speak to your doctor. There is no need to make an appointment.

Dispensing

The dispensary is responsible for all requests for repeat medication. The practice must have 48 hours’ notice in order to process all repeat prescription requests. The dispensary is open from 8.00am – 12.30pm and from 2.00 – 5.30pm, Monday and 2.00 – 5.00pm Tuesday to Friday. Click here to see our dispensary information leaflet.

Rural Patients

Dispensing of prescriptions is available for patients who reside in some of the surrounding villages. A list of such villages is available at reception/dispensary. If you have a disability or find it very difficult to get to a chemist for health-related reasons let us know as you can apply to be a dispensing patient. Please ask the dispenser for further details.
